Quin.MGX Table Light

Based on the spirtual quintessence of the twelve-sided dodecahedron, the designer created The Quin.MGX ceiling light so that the viewer’s eye is led into the sculpture along many swooping paths, leading from triangles to pentagons and back again. The lamplight also follows these paths. But what is most beautiful about the Quin.MGX is the anti-light, the way the surfaces shadow each other, creating a continuum of differently shaded areas casting smooth gradations of light in a spherical matrix that is punctuated by small pure beams.
Time Magazine included the Quin.MGX as part of its Design 100 in 2008.

Block Lamp

When the Block Lamp, designed by Harri Koskinen, was introduced in 1996, design juries and lovers of beautiful objects took it to their hearts, where it has remained.

Inspired by industrial glass bricks, the bulb is encased between two heavy hand-cast glass blocks that can be placed on the floor or tabletop for ambient lighting.

With its unique features and Scandinavian touch, it has been part of MoMA, Museum of Modern Art in New York’s collection since 2000.
